42. Kathryn Grace Marquis was born on Feb 15 1944 in Elgin, Cook County, Illinois. Kathy was born on a Tuesday at Dr. Byers Hospital. Kathryn's oldest daughter, Kim, later lived in a converted apartment in the exact same structure that was Dr. Byers Hospital. She was educated in 1959 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Kathy attended Abbott Junior High School and Elgin High School.

She was married to Kenneth Raymond Krogh on Dec 31 1960 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Ken and Kathy were married on a Saturday at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church by Rev. Rognlie. Ken was 24 and Kathy was 16. Kenneth Raymond Krogh was born on Dec 12 1936 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois. Ken was born on a Saturday at 5:27pm at Lutheran Deaconess Hospital. The son of Soren and Anna (Larsen) Krogh, Immigrants from Denmark. Source: Karol Rene Krogh, Kenneth's daughter. He was educated in 1955 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Ken attended Sheridan Grade School, Larsen Junior High, and Elgin High according to Kathryn Grace (Marquis) Krogh, Ken's wife. He served in the military in 1960 in United States and Japan. Ken speaks of his military service in the Army, Serial No. 55684854. His Muster Date was April, 1960. Rank: Specialist E4 (Comparable to a Corporal). Ken received basic training at Ft. LeonardWood, Missouri and then was stationed at Ft. Bliss, El Paso, Texas. Ken also served in Okinawa, Japan for 22 months and then was stationed back in the states in Washington state. He was only there 2 weeks when he was transferred across country to the Air Force base in Homestead, Florida. There he was trained to use the Hawk surface-to-air guided missile for use during the Cuban Crisis. Discharge Date: July, 1963. Ken was on standby reserve from 1963 to 1966 because of the Cuban Crisis. He served a total of 38 months. He has an Official honorable discharge on April 27, 1966. 80 ii. Kenneth Raymond Krogh Jr. was born on Mar 21 1964 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Kenny was born on a Saturday. He died on Jun 16 1964 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Kenny died on a Tuesday, a precious infant not even six months old. I remember very well the sadness at his sudden death, one in which the doctor said he stopped breathing. I also remember the description of Kenny's funeral, one that I was too young to attend, but did ask Kenny's grieving mother how he looked, and she replied: "Just like an angel sleeping..." He was buried on Jun 19 1964 in Lakewood Memorial Park Cemetery, Elgin, Cook County, Illinois.
81 iii. Karol Renae Krogh was born on Aug 26 1965 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Karol was born on a Thursday at 4:54am at Sherman Hospital. She weighed 6 lbs., 6 ozs. and was 20 1/2 inches long according to her hospital birth announcement. She was educated in 1992 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Karol attended Highland Grade School, Kimball Junior High, and is a graduate of Larkin High School. Karol received an A.A.S. degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design and an A.S. degree in Pre-engineering from Elgin Community College. She was baptized on Jan 31 1993 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Karol was baptized by Pastor Lawrence Ahrens of New Covenant Fellowship. She was Christian in 1995 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Karol is a member of New Covenant Fellowship. She was a Computer Professional in 1997 in Schaumburg, Cook County, Illinois. She is a Computer Aided Design professional.

83 v. Kelly Roberta Krogh was born on Dec 8 1972 in Elgin, Kane County, Illinois. Kelly was born on a Friday at Sherman Hospital. She was educated in 1991 in Elgin and St. Charles, Kane County, Illinois. Kelly attended Kimball Junior High, Larkin High School, Elgin, Illinois and St. Charles High School, St Charles, Illinois. Kelly transferred to St. Charles High School, in St. Charles, Illinois, to join the swim team.

She graduated in 1996 in Carbondale, Jackson County, Illinois. She was a graduate of Southern Illinois University. Her family traveled from Elgin, Illinois, down state to Carbondale for her graduation ceremony. According to her mother, Kathy Krogh, it was a hot day but a wonderful ceremony. Everyone was very proud of Kelly.
