There is a Probate Court document in the Hamilton County Court House for William Marquis. The document states that letters were granted as of August 21st, 1873, a date that would not necessarily be William's death date, but the filing of the probate.

He was married to Chloey M. Marquis in 1870 in Illinois. This is the second wife of William Marquis, the son of James C. Marquis. Chloey M. Marquis was born in Mar 1847 in Ohio. Chloey's birthplace is listed in the 1900 census for Macon County, Illinois. She died on Nov 2 1922 in Hickory Poiny Township, Macon County, Illinois. William Marquis and Chloey M.
