child167 ii. Jennifer Ruby Robbins was born on May 28 1981 in Aurora, Kane County, Illinois. Jennifer was born on a Thursday at Copley Memorial Hospital. There is a little story about how Jennifer was named. You see, her father's youngest brother Mike Robbins, if he were a girl, was going to be named Jennifer Lee. The Robbins boys grew up with that. So when Jennifer was born, her dad tried for Jennifer Lee, but her mother who really didn't want to do that, instead insisted that Jennifer's middle name would be after her husband's grandmother Ruby Robbins. It was a surprise, but it wasn't actually, since Jennifer's parents had just been on a trip to visit Great-Grandma Ruby Robbins. From this middle name has come Jenny's nick name "Roo-Roo" given by her grandmother Patricia Robbins.
